EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Mr. Kannan Nagappan is the proprietor of Nagas since the time it was established on 1989. He is directly responsible for all product definition directives for the company.

Mr. Kannan graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Masters in Management in 1978. Being interested in Leather, he underwent Entrepreneurial Garment Manufacturing at the Central Leather Research Institute, Chennai, India.

Today, he is a member of the Council for Leather exports in India, a Government body representing all leather product and garment manufacturers in India. He is also one of the core members and Treasurer of the Leather garment Exporters Association in Bangalore.

COMPANY HISTORY

Nagas was founded in 1989 by Kannan Nagappan, with a team of twenty five people. We started of with exporting sheep nappa garments to the United States. Choosing to concentrate on quality rather than volume, in 1993 we moved to the European Market concentrating in Germany, Austria, Italy and Spain.
